Mafia Wars Level Up Strategy
When you play, do you want to Mafia Wars level up as fast as you can? Because although I’m not sure it’s what everyone wants, it sure is A RUSH!
The drive to reach Top Boss fast is appealing, no doubt. Just be sure that when you get to Top Boss you don’t get knocked down because your rush to the top left you under-funded or unbalanced in your game development.
With Cuba and Moscow tempting us ever higher, I expect there is some intense interest in Mafia Wars level up strategy. Players want to rush up the levels. Why? To see what’s there of course!

The basics facts of Mafia Wars leveling:
- You convert energy (jobs) and energy and stamina (fights, robbing) into experience.
- Each level requires a certain amount (varies increasingly as you progress) of experience to complete.
- Different jobs in a job tier demand different energy/consumables inputs and yield different experience points, money, and loot.
So basic Mafia Wars level up strategy, if you want to level fast, is to focus on the jobs that yield the most experience for the least energy input. And also look for fights with high experience yield – the full six points, ideally.
Also, you can (not necessarily a good investment, mind you) use Godfather points to buy energy refills, so you can use that energy to gain more experience, if you want. Alternately, you can use the energy pack your top mafia members should be sending you every 23 hours, as well.
Just be sure to work the jobs in the tier to get mastery bonuses and the consumables you’ll need for higher levels and tiers, or you’ll have to constantly beg for stuff on your wishlist. Constant wishlist begging is just plain sad!
When you master a job, master a tier, and when you level up, you’ll receive a skill point to allocate. (And every level or so, you’ll get a Godfather reward point, too.) There is debate in Mafia Wars circles – is it better to put all points into energy, or to allocate your points more evenly among Attack/Defense/Energy/Stamina? (Almost no one thinks health is a good investment of points, BTW.)
If you are after speed leveling through jobs, then your energy stat is where it’s at. If you want a more balanced game and you are willing to spend more time in each Mafia Wars level, you should give yourself some attack and defense points occasionally. If you are fight leveling, you’ll have to give yourself some stamina, energy, and attack. (Plus, you’ll be riding the hitlist a lot, so you’ll need defense eventually, too, LOL.)
I like a balanced game (and I hate being used to wipe up the floors in fights), so I drop a point on attack and a point on defense pretty often when I level up, even though I’m a job-based leveling strategist. That does slow my leveling.
I’ll never argue with your right to play your Mafia Wars game your way!
